This Walk is for the purpose of supporting the cutting-edge neuromuscular disease research being conducted at the Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO) and Hadassah's Goldyne Savad Institute of Gene Therapy in Israel.  Hadassah is at the forefront of embryonic cell stem research, which has the potential to treat and cure serious chronic neuromuscular diseases plaguing over a one hundred million Americans,  Associations such as the ALS Foundation (Lou Gehrig's Disease), Parkinson's Disease, Dystonia Foundation, and others are joining with Hadassah on May 5th for this Walk. 

Please walk with us and encourage your family members and friends to sponsor you. The Greater Washington Area Chapter of Hadassah hopes to raise $50,000 through our Walk, and with your help we can reach this goal.

Hadassah has received a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, America's leading independent charity evaluator.  New York Times Op.Ed. for Mideast Peace, Suspend Disbelief by Dennis B. Ross, mentions Hadasssah Hospital as an exemplary way to build bridges to peace.
